The school my children attend is taking part too. Since the actual Earth Hour event is on a Saturday, the school is doing their own Earth Hour the Friday before. Everything that can be turned off will be (Lights, fax machine, photo copier etc) for one hour. Really, what's an hour? But it's a start, right?
Our family will be taking part on the Saturday night from 8 - 9pm. We'll probably play board games or something fun.
It's good if you sign up but it's not necessary to sign up if you want to take part.

It may only be an hour, but times how many people do it? That could really add up! Great to teach the kids too!
That is a neat thing to do. I hadn't heard anything about it until I read your blog. What a great way to teach children, and adults to save energy.
